Orlistat! Gingrich Loses Weight

Breaking NewsNewt denies Oily Taint

Having easy access to laughing gas is not a good thing.  With renewed urgency, California attorney Orly Taitz continued to beat her dead horse.  At a Gingrich campaign event in Pasadena California, the leader of the birther movement appealed to fading Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich to adopt her flailing cause.  “Somebody who wouldn’t be good enough, who wouldn’t be certified to pick tomatoes or clean bathrooms is sitting in the White House.” she emphatically stated.  Not willing to take on the added weight of the birther fantasy, Gingrich said, “That’s a project you should pursue.  I have enough issues to debate Obama about.”

Oh Newt.  Such the politician.  He once again skillfully played both sides of the fence.  He of course recognizes the futility of the birther movement and the damage it might do if he were to openly embrace it.  Be assured, he also knows there is a following for the nonsensical movement, so, as he has done from the beginning, he disrespectfully refers to the President as “Obama”, subliminally confirming and reinforcing the talking point that the President is not “the President” and he too questions his legitimacy.   Oh Newt.

The Norquist Quest Continues…

Operation: Usurp

President Grover Glenn Norquist. The man, the myth, the fact, the fiction.  Instead of striving to achieve the perfection of the vision of our forefathers – a life espoused by the the Constitution, Grover Norquist appears intent upon morphing it, changing the country into a mutated version of his own creation.   Like a dog with a bone, he won’t let go.  His apparent contempt for the Constitution fuels his end run around it.  Why run for office when through lies, manipulation, bribery, blackmail, race-baiting, intimidation and cleverly planted puppets, you can force your personal agenda upon an entire country?

Can we get this man his own country?  On the moon perhaps?  Newt Gingrich will never be President of the United States but,  hmmm…

Rom-kneed in the Newts

WHUT ?!!

Is Newt Moot? -or- Super Pacs Pack Powerful Punch

In case you haven’t heard, Mitt Romney won the Republican primary in Florida today. Romney-47%/ Gingrich-31%/ Santorum-13%/ Paul-7%. “Carpet-bombing” is what Newt Gingrich called it.  92% of the ads run in Florida were negative.  $30 million worth. Democrats are loving it!  Next stop Nevada.  I wonder if the candidates will play fair in Las Vegas?  What are the odds?

Iowa Decides on the Decider

  In Iowa its Willie Geist

Still way too early to call, Iowa Republicans are currently voting on who is to represent them in the 2012 Presidential election.  Each uniquely flawed, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum (google it), seem to be the favorites – with Newt Gingrich hanging on.

Whoever wins this contest may be a hard pill to swallow for the Republican Party.  Kool-aide anyone?

Newt Gingrich wants Clarence Thomas Arrested

                                                    Lynch Arrest Him!

Newt Gingrich’s poll numbers have plummeted in Iowa.  Due to the constant barrage of negative ads from racist Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and his Super Pac: Restore Our Future, the professor finds himself in third place behind Paul and Romney (1st and 2nd respectively).  In an angry statement Gingrich exacerbated, “They ought to be ashamed of themselves!  Take this junk off the air! Don’t hide behind some baloney about not having control over them!”  Newt also mentioned that the Super Pac Restore Our Future is run by 5 of Mitt Romney’s friends.

Now, let’s get this straight.  Newt Gingrich doesn’t like Super Pacs being used against him.  Therefore he doesn’t agree with the Supreme Court decision Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission; making corporations people, where money equals speech.  Just recently he said, “Activist judges should be thrown out.  They should be called before Congress to explain their decisions.”  And like a good Republican, he took it one step further.  He stated that any judge who was uncooperative should be arrested by the Federal Marshals  and forced to appear.  In this country, what are the odds Uncle Thomas would be the first to go?  One down, four to go Newt?  … Newt?

Sir Isaac Newt on…

    Activist Judges

Professor Newt Gingrich thinks “Judges who have ruled in favor of gay marriages or against prayer in schools are ‘activists’ who should be thrown out.  They should be called before Congress to explain their decisions” (a process Newt himself is familiar with).  He spoke of the precedent set by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 when he abolished 3 Federal courts.

That may be true, but in Newt’s world, in an effort to keep their jobs, wouldn’t  judges end up making decisions based on what they believe a particular Congress and/or  President’s ideologies are, instead of based on the judges’ own interpretation of the law?    Funny, the Newtster never mentions the activist majority on the Supreme Court; reversing 100 years of precedent and decreeing corporations people.

Over Before it Began?

Old Dog, Old Tricks

Here we go again.  Newt Gingrich received $1.6 million from Freddie Mac (the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp.) for services as, per Newt, historian.  He denies ever lobbying for the group.  Per Freddie Mac, he was to “build Republican support in the House of Representatives”.  Sounds like lobbying to me.

In New Hampshire last month, Newt said, “Democrats with ties to Freddie Mac should be thrown in jail!” – lucky for Newt he’s a Republican.

Once again, what Republicans seem to conveniently forget is that they were in charge; responsible for Freddie and Fannie at the time of the collapse. Yet somehow, magically, it was the Democrats’ fault.

Newt’s Next

Newt Swims Upstream

Newt Gingrich has apparently benefited from the failure of others.  He has moved up in  the Republican primary polls, second behind Mitt Romney.  But let’s not forget who this man is…

He’s the guy that was having an affair on his second wife with staffer Callista Bisek, at the same time he was trying to impeach Pres. Clinton for lying about his affair.  As Speaker of the House, he was second in line for the presidency when, under a barrage of ethics charges, he had to resign.

Is this the guy you want as the leader of the free world?
